I too know the feeling of losing a large expensive camera in a foreign land. Mine was taken by a river in southern Chile. It’s hard, but it helps one think that “Hey it’s just a thing.” I’m sorry for your loss.

Wes and Stacy–
I don’t know if you remember us or not, but Landon and I went to First Colony with you guys…anyway, we are thinking about going to the language school your team is at this summer and I was just wondering how it was going and if you had any advice etc about it and living in Costa Rica. We’ve enjoyed reading through your blog–we just took the ‘tour’ of your house–it’s so cute! And your boys are precious–Jakob is so much bigger than last time we saw him and Derek is precious!
It sounds like things are going great for you guys!

Tamra’s baby is due in one week….if not before. She’s about to pop. Pray for her.
NO meds, remember? so midwife and home delivery! YIKES !!! Baby is looking big but we’re still praying for a speedy, easy delivery. Only God can do that, RIGHT? !!! I’ll be letting ya’ll know. It’s moment by moment now.

Such cute pictures! Our boys are very different too…Elijah was the chunkier one and Judah is such a slim jim! Ours also don’t look much alike in the face either - it’s amazing how different one child can be from the next, even though they’re from the same parents. What a blessing for your boys to learn another language!

Good list. It’s fun to see so many similarities between Costa Rica and Peru, though there are some notable differences. For instance, even in Lima, it won’t rain every day on you. You’ll probably find yourself missing the sun…

What’s your elevation there? We’re at about 7500ft here in Arequipa and it still gets to us at times!
